About You!

Unit8 is welcoming Young Talents for our tailor-made programme in in Data and Software Engineering! Join us for a 5-6 month first paid professional experience in building industrial Data and AI solutions. The programme is starting in January/February, with direct exposure to clients’ needs and opportunities to take part in learning activities such as Reading Groups and Knowledge Sharing Sessions. 

As a Young Talent you will join a team of Data Scientists, Data Engineers and Cloud Engineers who work hand-in-hand with our customers on designing and implementing their industry-specific use cases.  You will participate as junior engineer in all phases of the software development life cycle – planning, implementation, deployment, testing and maintenance.

 

In order to be successful in this role, you are/have:

  • motivated and eager to learn different aspects of engineering
  • comfortable to interact with technical and business people
  • strong communication and presentation skills
  • recently graduated/finishing your MSc or BSc in Computer Science or related major
  • experience with Linux based operating systems and scripting tools (bash, linux)
  • familiar with version control and collaboration tooling (git) and CI/CD frameworks and automated deployment concepts (Github actions, Bamboo)
  • familiar with containerisation technologies (Docker)
